Our next Submission window begins 15th September 2025.

At Goldspun Media, we specialise in developing new musicals from the earliest R&D stages through to first public runs. This is the riskiest part of the process — but also the most vital for ensuring originality and artistic quality.

Our submission programme identifies promising projects and develops them under the Goldspun Media umbrella. Once selected, each project receives:

• Structured R&D and workshop support

• Professional creative teams drawn from our network

• Showcasing opportunities to secure further investment

• A pathway to first production

Shared investment mode
To make early-stage development sustainable, Goldspun secures a producer credit and a defined share of downstream revenues (including future productions, licensing, or commercial transfer). We also retain first-refusal rights on future stages of the project.

This model ensures that the risk of development is balanced by long-term participation in the work’s success. Over time, it builds a catalogue of original musicals tied to Goldspun Media — a slate that is both artistically bold and financially resilient.

Terms of Submission

By submitting your work to Goldspun Media, you acknowledge that:

• Goldspun will review all materials in confidence.

• Selection for development does not guarantee production.

• If a project is chosen, it will be developed under the Goldspun Media umbrella. This means:

  • Goldspun will hold a producer credit on the project in all future iterations.

  • Goldspun will participate in future revenues (touring, licensing, commercial transfer) as agreed in a formal development agreement.

  • Goldspun retains first-refusal rights to produce or co-produce future stages of the work.

Our aim is to build long-term, collaborative partnerships where both the creative team and Goldspun share in the risks and rewards of new musical theatre.
